Subject: Wanted: usable telnet/termcap
Can anyone point me to a telnet/termcap combination that actually work
with winsock (i.e. makes it possible to use emacs or vi). The telnets I
have found so far seem to be pretty bad when it comes to vt100 emulation?
Sorry if this is old news, but I am new to this bboard and I have not
been able to locate a FAQ.
Thanks,
Tom

It states in the Daytona release file that it will have incompatibilities with
Mosaic in particular and possibly other Win32s apps. I've asked this same
question, so if anyone else has gotten it to run please let me know as well.

Also make sure that you don't have an interrupt conflict with COM2. COM2 and
COM4 share IRQ3 by default. Most internal modems and serial cards can be
configured for another IRQ, hopefully another one not in use!
Another problem I have had from time to time with high speed modems is getting
them to "train" properly. You might try looking at some of the more
arcane settings for you modem regading the V.32 protocol. There is ussually a
selection to 'connect at any speed' and a setting for 'auto-reliable mode.'
These should be set on.
